Prof. Zhang Jianzhong, Ph.D .

Professor Zhang Jianzhong (born in 1964 ) studied in ShanDong Medical University in 1979 and received Bachelor of Medicine in 1984. From 1989 to 1992, h e studied in Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine and received master's degree at this school. In 1999, he obtained a doctorate. He dedicated himself to the study of H. pylori and Campylobacter jejuni from 1990 up to the present. In 1999 he was appointed to the faculty of the ICDC of China as full professor of microbiology. Now he is project manager, leader of a H.pylori group and deputy director of ICDC. He is one of the editors of World Chinese Journal of Digestology , and an expert in the 21th century anti-cancer committee. He received a National Science and Technology progress reward in 1996 by the work on Guillain-Barre Snydrome. In 1998, he received Chinese Health Ministry progress reward by research on pathogenesis of H.pylori. He was also awarded the Tan Jiazhen prize of Fu Dan University in 1998. He had published more than 70 articles in the past years and compiled 4 works.
